Dumond Smart Strip® PRO Paint Remover

Smart Strip PRO Paint Remover tackles the same projects that our “ Advanced ” formula can while also taking on the additional challenges of two-component epoxy, urethanes, elastomeric coatings, and lead and alkyd based paints. Smart Strip PRO can remove even more layers of acrylic, latex, oil, and water-based paints, varnishes, and stains from most wood, metal, and masonry surfaces, typically in a single application. It performs well indoors and out and is perfect for use on commercial and industrial job sites.

Introduced in 2009, Smart Strip PRO stepped into the paint removal arena to address the high performance and industrial coatings being found on job sites, while maintaining the expectations existing in the Smart Strip brand. Unlike the “ Advanced ” formula, Smart Strip PRO does contain mildly caustic chemistry, so proper PPE is recommended when handling this water-based gel formula. But be assured, Smart Strip PRO is also free from dangerous chemicals like methylene chloride or NMP.

Testing is critical before you begin any paint removal project.

Perform a small, inconspicuous test before full removal to determine that Smart Strip PRO is compatible with your coating and surface. This product must remain in a wet state to perform properly. Pair with Dumond Laminated Paper to help keep Smart Strip PRO from prematurely drying out while also speeding the removal process.
